The side of a square tile is 12 cm.how many tiles can be placed on a floor which is 3.6m long and 2 m wide?

area of a tile=s×s
=12×12/100×100
=144/10000
0.0144

no. of tiles= area of the floor/ area of a tile
=7.2/0.0144
=500
so
500 tiles are needed
