Answer:

let the sides of ∆ be 5x,7x,8x.

now,

perimeter=sum of all sides

100m = 5x+7x+8x

100m. = 20x

x= 5

so, the sides are 5x=5×5=25, 7x=7×5=35, 8x=8×5=40

GIVEN :-

Ratio between the sides of the triangle 5 : 7 : 8

Let the sides of the triangular be 5x, 7x and 8x

Perimeter of the triangle is given = 100m

We know that,

Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all three sides

➡ 5x + 7x + 8x = 100m

➡ 20x = 100m

➡ x = 100/20

➡ x = 5m

Hence, the length of the sides of the triangle are :-

  • 5x = 5 × 5 = 25m

  • 7x = 7 × 5 = 35m

  • 8x = 8 × 5 = 40m

VERIFICATION :-

Perimeter of the triangle = sum of all three sides

= 5x + 7x + 8x

= 25 + 35 + 40

= 60 + 40

= 100m Hence verified!
