Step-by-step explanation:

Given, the side of a triangle is 16 cm, 30cm and 34 cm

By heron's formula :

Area of triangle (A) =

 \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

Here, a, B, and c are sides of triangle and s =a+b+c / 2

s =16+30+34 / 2 =80 /2 =40cm

Area of triangle BCE

=

 \sqrt{40(40 - 16)(40 - 30)(40 - 34)}

=

 \sqrt{40 \times 24 \times10 \times 6}

=

 \sqrt{10 \times 4 \times 6 \times 4 \times 10 \times 6}

= 10×6×4

=

 {240cm}^{2}
