Since 8^2+15^2=17^
Therefore it is a right angled ∆ .
Area = 1÷2×8×15 ( taking 15 cm as base )
= 60 sq.cm

le5 side a=8cm, side b=15cm and side c=17 CM

Now, Using herons formula
s(semi perimeter) =(a+b+c)/2
=(8+15+17)/2
=40/2
=20cm

NOW area of triangle =
 \sqrt{s{s - a} {s - b}{s - c}
 \sqrt{20 \times {20 - 8}  \times {20 - 15} \times {20 - 17}
 \sqrt{2 \times 5 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 2 \times 5 \times 3}
=
2 \times 5 \times 2 \times 3
