a b is equal to 16 centimetre AC is equal to 16 cm in equilateral triangle as we know that it is a median so BD will equal to DC which equal to 8 cm each

so fastly in a triangle ABD
AB²=AD²+BD²
16²=X²+8²
X²=16²-8²
X=13.85

 in triangle ABC
        AB = 16 CM
        BC = 16 cm    ( construction bd = 1/2 of bc = 8 cm )
        tan 60 = √3 = altitude/bd
                          = AD/BD
                      √3 = AD/8
                       8√3 = AD
                      AD = 13.85
                     ALTITUDE OF THE TRIANGLE IS 13.85 cm ( approx)
