the side of rectangle are in the ratio 3:2. if the area is 486 sq m , find the cost of fencing in at rs.40 per metre

let the side be x
ratio of the sides are 3:2
so the sides are 3x and 2x
area of rectangle=l×b
486=3x×2x
6x=486
x^2=81
x=9
sides are 27 and 18
cost of fencing 1m^2=40
cost of fencing 486m^2=486×40
=972

cost of fencing = Rs.972
