the diagonals of a rhombus

perpendicular bisectors of each other

so the side of rhombus, half parts of diagonal form right angled triangle

the side is hypotenuse

we can use Pythagorean theorem

let the other diagonal half part be x

5^2=3^2+x^2

25=9+x^2

x^2=16

x=4

x is half part so length of diagonal is 2x

2x=8

now by the formula

area of rhombus=1/2×product of diagonals

=1/2×6×8

=24cm^2

24 cm^2 is the area of rhombus

hope it helps you
