Answer:

7.14 square meter.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to calculate 3 areas in this question

1st is area of square

2nd is area of 1st semicircle

3rd is area of 2nd semicircle

  • Area of square of side 2 meter = 2²

⇒ 4 square meter.

  • Area of 1st semicircle,

Here the side of square becomes the diameter of semicircle which is 2 meter,

So, Radius of semicircle becomes half of the diameter i.e. 1 meter,

Area of semicircle = \frac{\pi r^{2}}{2}

\frac{3.14 * 1^{2} }{2}

⇒ 1.57 square meter

Also, we know that both the semicircles are on the sides of square and because of this reason the diameter as well as area of both the semicircles remains same.

So,

  • we can take area of 3rd semicircle = 1.57 square meter

Area of whole figure = Area of square + Area of 1st semicircle +Area of 2nd semicircle

⇒ Area of whole figure = 4 +1.57+1.57

⇒ Area of whole figure = 7.14 square meter.
