side of square= 8cm
sides of square are perpendicular to each other.
let ABCD be that square and AC is it's diagonal.
therefore, AB=BC=DC=AD= 8 cm
In ∆ ADC,
by phythagorus theorem
=AC^2= AD^2 + DC^2
=8^2 + 8^2
= 64+64
= 128
AC^2= 128
therefore,
AC= 8√2
therefore, length of the diagonal is 8√2 cm.
