\large\sf\underline{Given\::}

  • Area of a square = 100 cm² .

\large\sf\underline{To\:find\::}

  • Side of the square.

\large\sf\underline{Solution\::}

We know,

\large{\mathfrak{Area\:of\:the\:square\:=\:(side)^{2}}}

  • Substituting the value in the formula

\sf\implies\:100=side^{2}

  • Transposing square to the other side

\sf\implies\:±\sqrt{100}=side

\sf\implies\:±10=side

  • Since length can't be -ve the measure of side is + 10 cm

\large{\underline{\boxed{\mathrm\pink{\leadsto\:Side\:=\:10\:cm}}}}

\large\sf\underline{More\:formula\::}

  • Area of a rectangle = \sf\: length \times breadth

  • Area of a circle = \sf\:πr^{2}

  • Area of a triangle = \sf\: \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height

  • Area of parallelogram = \sf\: base \times height
