We know,

• Substituting the value in the formula

$\sf\implies\:100=side^{2}$

• Transposing square to the other side

‎

$\sf\implies\:±\sqrt{100}=side$

$\sf\implies\:±10=side$

‎

• Since length can't be -ve the measure of side is + 10 cm
