if the sum of areas of two squares=400 sq.cm
area of 1 square=400/2=200 sq.cm
length of per side is 4 cm more than the other.
therefore length of one side=root of 200+4 =14.14+4=18.14 cm

(x)^2+(x+4)^2=400
=(x+12)(x-8)=0
x=8orx=-12
-ve ans reject,so sides are 8 or12cms
