Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:-

SIDE OF A SQUARE = 25CM

CONSTRUCTION:-

JOIN BD

TO FIND:-

THE DIAGONAL OF TEH SQUARE (BD)

FORMULA USED:-

PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

STEPS:-

∆BCD IS A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE

bd ^{2} = bc ^{2} + cd ^{2} \\ bd ^{2} = 25 ^{2} + 25 ^{2} \\ bd ^{2} = 625 + 625 \\ bd = \sqrt{1250cm ^{2} } \\ bd = 35.35cm

HENCE THE DIAGONAL OF SQUARE = 35.35 CM
