Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Length (l) = 15 cm
  • Breadth (b) = 20 cm

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Diagonal (d) of rectangle

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

On using Pythagoras theorem,we get,

Diagonal² = Length² + breadth²

= +

d² = 15² + 20²

d² = 225 + 400

d² = 625

d = √625

d = 25 cm

Hence,

  • Diagonal (d) of rectangle is 25 cm

More Formulas :-

  • Area = length²
  • Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)
  • Diagonal = √(length² + breadth²)

Given :-

  • Length Of Rectangle = 15cm.
  • Breadth Of Rectangle = 20cm.

To Find :-

  • Diagonal.

Solution :-

We know the Formula that,

Diagonal = √l² + h²

Put the values.

➝ Diagonal = √15² + 20²

➝ Diagonal = √225 + 400.

➝ Diagonal = √625.

Diagonal = 25cm.

Hence, The Value Of Diagonal = 25cm.

Some Important Formulae :-

  • Area Of Rectangle = l × b.

  • Perimeter = 2(l + b).
