Question :- to find length of diagonal .

_____________________________________

Process :-

1 ) draw the rectangle of length = 20 m

and breadth = 15 m .

2 ) to find the length of diagonal of the rectangle , we can use Pythagoras theorem .

Pythagoras theorem :- h² = b² + p² .

Answer :-

let diagonal of the rectangle be 'h' .

by using Pythagoras theorem ,

==> l = base = 20 m

==> p = height = 15 m

==> diagonal = h = ?

(hypotenuse)² = (base)² + ( height )²

diagonal = h² = (20)² + (15)²

= h² = (400 + 225 ) m²

= h² = 625 m²

= h = 25 m .

therefore, length of diagonal = 25 m .
