the diagonals formed in a rectangle are the HYPOTENUSE of the sides of the rectangle 3 cm ,4 cm

We know that, 3, 4, 5 is a Pythagorean triplet, by this we get

there are two diagonal, so 2(5) = 10 cm

OR

let x be the length of the diagonal

by pythagoras theorem,

x² = 3² + 4²
x = √(9+16) = √25 = 5

there are such two diagonals , so 2x = 2(5) = 10 cm

Hope you understand
