Let A be 5cm

And

B be 12 cm

Therefore, A^2+B^2=C^2(According to Pythagoras Theorem)

So,

(5)^2+(12)^2=25+144=169

C^2=169

Therefore, C=13 cm

Hope it helps you

Answer:

diagonal of a rectangle =

 \sqrt{ {l}^{2} }  +  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} }

diagonal=

 \sqrt{ {5 }^{2} }  +  \sqrt{ {12}^{2} }

root25+144

 \sqrt{169}

Diagonal= 13cm
