Given:

  • Ratio of the sides of a rectangle is 3 : 5.
  • Perimeter of the rectangle is 80cm.

To find:

  • Side of the rectangle ?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution:

Let the three sides of the triangle be 3x and 5x.

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Here,

  • Perimeter = 80 cm
  • Length = 3x
  • Breadth = 5x

Putting the values,

➜ 2(3x+ 5x) = 80

➜ 2 × 8x = 80

➜ 16x = 80

➜ x = 80/16

x = 5cm

Therefore,

  • Length of the rectangle = 3x = 3 × 5= 15cm
  • Breadth of the rectangle = 5x = 5 × 5 = 25cm

Given :

  • Ratio of the sides of the rectangle = 3:5
  • Perimeter of the rectangle = 80 cm

To find :

  • The sides of the rectangle

Solution :

★ Let:-

  • The length = 3x
  • The breadth = 5x

We know:-

  • Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

80 = 2(3x + 5x)

→ 80 = 6x + 10x

→ 80 = 16x

→ 80/16 = x

5 = x

x = 5

•°• The length = 15 cm

•°• The breadth = 25 cm

Answer :

  • The sides of the rectangle are 15 cm and 25 cm
