let the sides of rectangle be x and y
then acc. to question
x/y=9/7
or x=9/7y. .....(i)
Now perimeter of rectangle.....
2(l+B)=144
then...from i equation
2(9/7y+y) = 144
2×16y/7=144
2×16y = 144×7
32y = 1008
y = 31.5m
as well as x = 40.5m ..
