GIVEN :-

  • Base of Right triangle = 8 cm.
  • Perpendicular of right triangle = 15 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • The hypotenuse of right Triangle.

SOLUTION :-

➬ Base (BC) = 8 cm.

➬ Perpendicular (AB) = 15 cm.

➬ Hypotenuse (AC) = ?

By Pythagoras theorem,

➬ AB² + BC² = AC²

➬ AC² = AB² + BC²

➬ AC² = (15)² + (8)²

➬ AC² = 225 + 64

➬ AC² = 289

➬ AC = √289

AC = 17 Cm.

Hence hypotenuse of right Triangle is 17 cm.

VERIFICATION :-

➬ AC² = AB² + BC²

➬ (17)² = (15)² + (8)²

➬ 289 = 225 + 64

➬ 289 = 289

L.H.S = R.H.S
