Base = 16 cm

Perpendicular = 8 cm

Area = 1/2 × Base × Perpendicular

= 16 × 8 /2

= 8 × 8

= 64 cm^2

a of triangle is 1/2 x base x height

so if the base is 8 and height is 16 we get

1/2 x 8 x 16

8x8

64 cm sq.

hope it helps
