LET US ASSUME SIDE AS 10

ITS AREA WILL BE =10*10=100

it is increased by 50% so 50% of 10=5

new side =15

its area =15*15=225

AREA INCREASED=225-100=125

% INCREASED =125/100*100=125

SO AREA WILL INCREASE BY 125%

Answer:

25%

Step-by-step explanation:

normal area

a^2-----> 1

normal area + 50 percent increase for each side

(a+ a/2)^2

(3a/2)^2

9(a)^2/4-------> 2

increase percentage= 2-1

(9(a)^2/4) - (a^2) = (5(a)^2/4)

a^2 + (1/4 a^2)---> this is increased area

a^2 ----> 100%

1/4(a)^2---> 25%

therefore 25% is increase

hope this will be helpfull
