Let the sides be 12x, 17x and 25x

Then the perimeter will be:-

12x + 17x + 25x = 540

54x = 540

x = \frac{540}{54}

x = 10

Therefore the sides are:-

12x = 12 × 10 = 120cm

17x = 17 × 10 = 170cm

25x = 25 × 10 = 250cm

Area = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

where,

s = semi-perimeter

a = length of side a

b = length of side b

c = length of side c

Here,

s = \frac{540}{2} = 270

a = 120

b = 170

c = 250

Area = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

Area = \sqrt{270(270-120)(270-170)(270-250)}

Area = \sqrt{270(150)(100)(20)}= \sqrt{81000000}

Area = 9000cm²
