The sides of a triangle are 120m,170m,250m. Find its area using Heron's Formula & also find height of the triangle if base is 250m. I am ready to give 20 points for this…

S = (a+b+c) /2
=(120+170+250)/2
=540/2
=270
Area = under root s ( s-a) (s-b) (s-c)
=under root 270(270-120)(270-170)(270-250)
=under root 270*150*100*20
=under root 81000000
=9000
Therefore area of the triangle is 9000
Area of triangle =1/2*base * height
9000 =1/2*250*height
9000=125*height
Height =9000/125
Height =72

GovindKrishnan: Thanks a bunch!!!
shikha10: ur wlcm
GovindKrishnan: Plz correct ur answer… u didn't do s-b…
GovindKrishnan: s-b= 270-170=100
shikha10: thx for telling me my mistake
kvnmurty: you must mention the units .. like meters, ,meter^2...
