The longest side is 39 cm

.

If this right angled triangle :

( 15 cm )² + ( 36 cm )²  should be ( 39 cm )²

==> 225 cm² + 1296 cm²

==> 1521 cm²

( 39 cm )² = 39 cm × 39 cm

                = 1521 cm²

Thus it has to be right angled triangle .

The square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides .

Hope it helps :-)
