First we find the area of triangle by formula
area=under root(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))
s=(a+b+c)/2
s=(8+15+17)/2
s=20
area=under root(20(20-8)(20-15)(20-17))
area=under root(20*12*5*3)
AREA=under root(3600)
area=60
to smallest height we take longest side as base which is=17
height=area/base
height=60/17
height=3.53
area=under root(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))
s=(a+b+c)/2
s=(8+15+17)/2
s=20
area=under root(20(20-8)(20-15)(20-17))
area=under root(20*12*5*3)
AREA=under root(3600)
area=60
to smallest height we take longest side as base which is=17
height=area/base
height=60/17
height=3.53
