Step-by-step explanation:

Let sides of triangle= 10x,17x,21x

so, perimeter=240cm

10x+17x+21x= 240

48x =240

x = 240

48

x = 5

So,sides of triangle are 50cm,85cm,105cm...

Area of triangle by heron's formula

S = a+b+c

2

S = 50+85+105

2

S = 240

2

S = 120cm

Area of triangle=

= √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=√120(70)(35)(15)

=√8925

=5√357 cm²

Let the sides of the triangle be multiplied with x= 10×x:17×x:21×x
= 10x :17x :21x
= 10x+17x+21x =48x
perimeter of a triangke is 240 cm.

sides of a triangle= perimeter of a triangle
48x=240 cm
x=240/48
Therefore x=5
sides of a triangle=10×5,17×5,21×5
=50cm,85cm,105cm
semiperimeter of a triangle=a+b+c/2
=50+85+105/2
=240/2=120cm
area of triangle=(refer to page)
