Solution:

Given:The sides of a triangle are in ratio 9:12:18.The longest side measures 72 cm.
let the ratio be in terms of x,.

9x : 12x : 18x  here,

18x=72
    x=3..(i)
9x=9(3)=27cm
12x=12(3)=36cm,..
anyway,. forming this in the shape of triangle isn't possible,.
as sum of 2 sides must be greater than the third side in case of triangles,
but 27+36=63⊅72,.
