The sides of a triangle are in the ratio 1 : 2 : 3 . If the perimeter is 36cm , find it's sides.​

Let the sides are x, 2x and 3x respectively.

Perimeter = 36 cm

According to condition,

x+2x+3x = 36

or, 6x = 36

or, x = 36/6

or, x = 6

So, the sides are-

• x = 6 cm
• 2x = (2×6) cm = 12 cm
• 3x = (3×6) cm = 18 cm

Hence, its sides are 6cm, 12cm and 18cm.
