Answer:

3x+5x+7x=300

15x=300

x=300/15

x=20

3x=3×20=60

5x=5×20=100

7x=7×20=140

the smaller side is 3x.

Answer :

» Sides of triangle in ratio = 3:5:7

» Perimeter of triangle = 300

Smaller side of triangle is asked.

Let the sides of the triangle be 3x , 5x , 7x.

Perimeter of triangle = sum of its sides.

» 3x + 5x + 7x = 300

» 15 x = 300

→ x = 20

Let us substitute the values to find the sides of the triangle.

  • 3(20) = 60
  • 5(20)= 100
  • 7(20)= 140

Therefore the smaller side of triangle is 60.

Unit is not mentioned in the question ! So it can be written as units.
