Answer:

Question:-

  • The sides of a triangle are three consecutive integers and its perimeter is 12m. Find the measures of each sides of a triangle?

Answer :-

Given :-

  • The sides of a triangle are three consecutive integers.
  • Perimeter of a triangle is 12 m.

To find :-

  • Sides of triangle

Solution :-

Let the three sides of a triangle be x, x + 1 and x + 2 m

★ According to statement

Perimeter = 12

⟹ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 12

⟹ 3x + 3 = 12

On transposing

⟹ 3x = 12 - 3

⟹ 3x = 9

⟹ x = 3 m

So sides of triangle are

x = 3 m

x + 1 = 3 + 1 = 4 m

x + 2 = 3 + 2 = 5 m

\bf\implies \: Sides \: of \: a \: triangle \: are \: 3 \: m , \: 4m \: and \: 5 \: m.
