The sides of a triangle are x,y and z.If x+y=7,y+z=9 and z+x =8 ,then find the area of the triangle.

x+y+z=7+8+9/2=24/2=12
hence x=3
y=4
z=5
by Heron formula
Area= √6*3*2*1=6
