Hi ,

Let a , b , c are three sides of the triangle,

It is given that ,

ratio of the sides of the triangle = 1/2 : 1/3 : 1/4

= 12/2 : 12/3 : 12/4

= 6 : 4 : 3

Let a = 6x

b = 4x

c = 3x

perimeter = 52 cm

6x + 4x + 3x = 52

13x = 52

x = 52/13

x = 4

Therefore ,

length of the smallest side = c = 3x

c = 3 × 4

c = 12 cm

I hope this helps you.
