The cost of ploughing the field at 50 paise per square cm is Rs. 4483.28.

Step-by-step explanation:

The sides of the triangular field are a = 200 cm, b = 150 cm & c = 120 cm.

By using Heron’s Formula, we get

S = semi-perimeter = \frac{a+b+c}{2} = \frac{200+150+120}{2} = \frac{470}{2} = 235 cm

Area of the triangular field   is given as,

= √[S(S-a)(S-b)(S-c)]

= √[235 * (235-200)(235-150)(235-120)]

= √[235 * 35 * 85 * 115]

= √[80399375]

= 8966.56 cm²

The cost of ploughing the field = 50 paise per sq. cm = Rs. 0.50 per sq. cm

Thus,

The cost of ploughing the field is given by,

= 8966.56 cm² * Rs. 0.50

= Rs. 4483.28
