The sides of a triangular plot are in a ratio of 3:5:7 and its perimeter is 300 m. Find its area.​

Let the unknown value of sides be x.

So the sides would be 3x, 5x, 7x.

Perimeter of a ∆= Sum of all sides

300 = 3x + 5x + 7x

15x = 300

x = 20

So now the sides would be 60, 100, 140.

Using Heron's Formula,

s = Perimeter/2

s = 150m

s - a= 150 - 60 = 90m

s - b = 150 - 100 = 50m

s - c = 150 - 140 = 10m

Area of ∆ = √{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

= √{150 * 90 * 50 * 10}

= 551135.2(approx)
