$= \frac{\texttt{1}}{\texttt{2}} + \: \frac{\texttt{5}}{\texttt{2} }+ \: \frac{\texttt{3}}{\texttt{1} }$

$= \frac{\texttt{(1×1) + (5×1) + (3×2)}}{\texttt{2} }$

$= \frac{\texttt{1 + 5 + 6}}{\texttt{2} }$

$= \frac{\texttt{12}}{\texttt{2} }$

$= \frac{\texttt{12÷2}}{\texttt{2÷2} }$
