length of a triangle =8cm

breadth of a triangle = 6cm

by Pythagoras theorem

(hypotenuse)^2=(height)^2+(base)^2

(diagonal)^2=( length)^2 + (breadth)^2

let the diagonal be x cm

x^2= 36+64

x^2 =100

x=10cm

therefore the length of a diagonal = 10cm
