The sides of the smaller triangle ,out of the two similar triangles are 4 cm ,5 cm and 6 cm respectively . if the perimeter of the larger triangle is 90 cm, then what are the lengths of the sides of the larger triangle.​

The second triangle has sides a, b and c which correspond to sides 4cm, 5cm and 6cm of the first triangle, respectively.

Since the triangles are similar,

a4=b5=c6

and since the perimeter of the second triangle is 90cm,

a+b+c=90

Using some algebraic substitution:

b=5a4

c=3a2

a+5a4+3a2=90

15a4=90

a=24cm

b=30cm

c=36cm
