the sides of the triangle are 1.2 cm ,3.5cm,3.7 cm .is this triangle a right triangle ? if so, which side is the hypotenuse​

The greatest side is 3.7

By pythagoras theorem , (we can check)

( 1.2)² + (3.5)² = (3.7)²

14.4 + 122.5 = 136.9

136.9 = 136.9

It means that this triangle follows pythagoras theorem so, it is a right angled triangle.

Now, take sum of squares of remaining two sides

1.2^2 + 3.5^2 = 1.44 + 12.25

From (1) & (2)

3.7^2 = 1.2^2 + 3.5^2

So,

By the Pythagorean Triplet given sides are sides of right angle triangle..

Therefore the bigger side is hypotenuse
