  • Sides of Triangle are 7cm , 6cm , 8cm

We know that area of Triangle. = √s(s-a) (s-b) (s-c)

➠ s = Perimeter of Triangle / 2

➠ s = (a + b + c) / 2

➠ s = ( 8+ 7+ 6) / 2

➠ s = 21/2 = 10.5cm

➠ a , b, c are sides of Triangle

➠ \:  \sqrt{10.5(10.5 - 7)(10.5 - 6)(10.5 - 8)}

Given:

  • Sides of a triangle are 7cm, 6cm and 8cm.

To Find:

  • Area of the triangle.

Solution:

Here, sides of the triangle are,

  • 7cm
  • 6cm
  • 8cm

As we know that,

Area of a triangle = √[s (s - a) (s - b) (s - c)]

Let,

  • a = 7
  • b = 6
  • c = 8

where,

➜ s = [a + b + c]/2

➜ s = [7 + 6 + 8]/2

➜ s = 21/2

s = 10.5 cm

Putting the values,

➜Area of the triangle = √[10.5 (10.5 - 7) (10.5 - 6) (10.5 - 8)]

➜ Area of the triangle = √[ 10.5 × 3.5 × 4.5 × 2.5]

➜ Area of the triangle = √413.43

Area of the triangle = 20.33cm²

Hence, the area of the triangle is 20.33cm².
