Solution:-
Given : three side of triangle 8 cm, 15 cm and 17 cm.
semi perimeter = (a+b+c)/2
s = (8+15+17)/2
s = 40/2
s = 20 cm
Therefore, using Heron's formula of area of triangle 
√20(20-8)(20-15)(20-17)
√20×12×5×3
√3600
Area = 60 cm²
Total weight of the plate = 96 g (Given)
Weight of the plate per square cm = 96/60
Weight of the plate per sq. cm = 1.6 g
