The sides of two squares are 2.4 and 1.8 long respectively find the side of new square equal to the sum of the two squares in area

Area of 1st square = side^2

=2.4^2

=2.4*2.4

=5.76

Area of 2nd square = side^2

=1.8^2

=3.24

Sum of the areas=5.76+3.24

s^2=9

s=√9

s=3
