Let the length & breadth be 5x, 4x respectively

So,

Perimeter = 90 = 2 (5x + 4x)

45 = 9x

x = 5

Length = 5×5 = 25 units

Breadth = 5×4 = 20 units

Answer:

The Length of the Rectangle is 25 cm and Breadth is 20 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Sides of the Rectangle = 5 : 4

Perimeter is = 90 cm

To Find :

Its Dimensions

Solution :

Consider the -

  • Length as 5x
  • Breadth as 4x

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

➡ 90 = 2(5x + 4x)

➡ 90 = 10x + 8x

➡ 90 = 18x

➡ x = 90/18

➡ x = 5

\rule{300}{1.5}

Length =

➡ 5 × 5

➡ 25 cm

\rule{300}{1.5}

Breadth =

➡ 4 × 5

➡ 20 cm

\therefore The Length of the Rectangle is 25 cm and Breadth is 20 cm.
