Let, the other rational number be x

According to question :

$\frac{1}{8} + x = \frac{5}{8} \\ \\ = > x = \frac{5}{8} - \frac{1}{8} \\ \\ = > x = \frac{5 - 1}{8} = \frac{4}{8} = \frac{1}{2}$

So, the other rational number will be 1/2 ✔
