The simple interest on a certain for 3 year at 10% per annum is Rs 829.50. Find the sum.

  • Time ( T ) = 3 Years
  • Principal ( P ) = ?

we will calculate principal (sum) now :

⇒ SI = ( P × R × T ) / 100

⇒ 829.50 = ( P × 10 × 3 ) / 100

⇒ 829.50 × 100 = ( P × 10 × 3 )

⇒ 82950 = 30 × P

⇒ P = 82950 / 30

P = Rs. 2765

The Sum (Principal) will be Rs. 2765.
