Answer:

4,80,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the sum be x

According to the question:

=> x × 12 × 56/ 100×12 - x × 15 × 45/100 ×12 =1200

=> 672x - 675x / 1200 = 1200

=> -3x = 14,40,000

=> x = 14,40,000/ -3

= 4,80,000( Here we have to put the greater number's symbol).

Answer:

Let the sum be 100x,

SI = sum × rate × time/100

The simple interest on a certain sum for 3 years at 8% p.a,

⇒ SI = 100x × 3 × 8/100 = 24x

The simple interest on a certain sum for 2 years at 9% p.a,

⇒ SI = 100x × 2 × 9/100 = 18x

The simple interest on a certain sum for 3 years at 8% p.a Is Rs. 90 more than simple interest at 9% p.a for 2 years on the same sum,

⇒ 6x = 90

⇒ x = 15

∴ Sum, 100x = Rs. 1500
