The site of the light-dependent photosynthesis reactions in chloroplasts is thylakoid membrane.
Inside of the chloroplasts of plant cells, there are stacks of thylakoids which are called grana.
These thylakoids are nothing but membrane bound compartments that are the epicentre for photosynthetic light-reactions since contain the chlorophyll which is the light-collecting pigment for the plant.
And embedded in the them are two photosystems, that is, photosystem I and photosystem II.
