if 0.000001 m space is occupied by 1 bacterium then 1m will be occupied by 1/0.000001= 1000000 bacteria

Number of bacteria in 1 m length = 10^{6} bacteria.

Given:

Size of bacteria = 1 micron. We know that micron is a unit of length and so is the meter.

Solution:

So we need to convert the micron into meter and then we can easily know the number of bacteria present in the length of 1 meter as bacteria size is known.

Therefore, 1 micron = 10^{-6}\ meter

Number of bacteria by applying the unitary method bacteria in 1 m length = \frac{1}{10^{-6}}

Number of bacteria in 1 m length = 10^{6} bacteria.
