Given:-

  • Slant height of the cone (l) = 10 m
  • Height of the cone (h) = 8 m

To find:-

  • Find the C.S.A. of the cone ?

Solutions:-

  • Let the radius of the cone be 'r' m

Pythagoras theorem:-

=> H² = P² + B²

According to question:-

  • Hypotenuse = 10 m
  • Perpendicular = 8 m
  • Base = r m

=> (10)² = (8)² + r²

=> 100 = 64 + r²

=> 100 - 64 = r²

=> 36 = r²

=> √36 = r

=> 6 = r

=> r = 6m

The Curved surface area of the cone => πrl

=> 22/7 × 6 × 10

=> 22/7 × 60

=> 1320m²

Hence, the Curved surface area of the cone is 1320 m².

Some Important:-

  • Right circular cone:-
  • h = height of cone
  • r = Radius of cone
  • s = slant height

  • Volume = 1/3πr²h
  • Lateral surface area = πr √r²+h²
  • Total surface area = πr² + πr √r²+h²
