Given:-
- Slant height of the cone (l) = 10 m
- Height of the cone (h) = 8 m
To find:-
- Find the C.S.A. of the cone ?
Solutions:-
- Let the radius of the cone be 'r' m
Pythagoras theorem:-
=> H² = P² + B²
According to question:-
- Hypotenuse = 10 m
- Perpendicular = 8 m
- Base = r m
=> (10)² = (8)² + r²
=> 100 = 64 + r²
=> 100 - 64 = r²
=> 36 = r²
=> √36 = r
=> 6 = r
=> r = 6m
The Curved surface area of the cone => πrl
=> 22/7 × 6 × 10
=> 22/7 × 60
=> 1320m²
Hence, the Curved surface area of the cone is 1320 m².
Some Important:-
- Right circular cone:-
- h = height of cone
- r = Radius of cone
- s = slant height
- Volume = 1/3πr²h
- Lateral surface area = πr √r²+h²
- Total surface area = πr² + πr √r²+h²
