The dynasty found by Qutub-din-aibak, a slave ofMuhammad Ghori, is known as slave dynasty. However its a misnomer. Out of all the sultans, only three, viz, Qutub-din Aibak, Iltutmish and Ghiyas-ud-din balban were slave sand even they were manumitted by their masters.
