The slip frequency of an induction motor is the frequency of Alternating Current flowing in the rotor winding.
- It is the difference between the frequency of the rotating magnetic field and the actual speed of rotation
- Formula for the slip = Rotor frequency/supply frequency
- That is, s = (Ns-N)/Ns
- As we know that slip frequency is directly propositional to the slip therefore slip frequency decreases with the decrease in slip.
